A Birth Plan Meeting enables you gain more of an understanding of how you wish to birth and what you will need to get there. It gives your carers, midwife, obstetrician, birth attendant and support people a detailed plan of what you want for your labour and birth. Carers can provide the best support when they have a clear understanding of what your needs are.

In a relaxed environment, usually in your home, we discuss the birth environment you would like to create, birth positions, ways of working with pain, monitoring of baby, vaginal examinations, delivery of baby, delivery of placenta, discovering the sex of baby, initial care of your baby and more. We also discuss the plan ‘when all does not go according to plan’, going past the due date, medical inductions, and other possible medical interventions.
